project ambassador Julian O'Dell.
Jeff Christie has signed a guitar for the 100 Hitmakers
Against Cancer project, to help raise funds for the
development of cures for cancer at leading institutions
such as Imperial College London and the University of Sussex.
The cutting edge programs focus on developing
new diagnostics and treatments, to improve the survival
prospects and quality of life for millions of cancer sufferers
worldwide.
The project was started in the spring
of 2019 by Julian O'Dell, a business consultant from Milton
Keynes who has dedicated the past five years to hosting
and running Catfest, an annual fundraiser festival named
after his wife, Cat, who has been fighting cancer since
2010.
Its mission is to raise as much money
as possible for the charity Action Against Cancer
through gathering and auctioning guitars signed by 100 music
legends.
The project has proven to be a great success,
with already 114 hitmakers involved, well over the 100 target,
and rising.
Other stars who have contributed include
Sir Cliff Richard, Brian May, Lulu, Petula Clark, Ronan
Keating and Gilbert O'Sullivan.
Here's
the website.
Look out for the guitar with Jeff's signature
which will come up for auction soon. You
